Cover Reveal: Nomad by J.L. Bryan

Nomad
by J.L. Bryan
to be published July 26 2013 by J.L. Bryan

They took everything: her family, her home, her childhood.

By the age of nineteen, Raven has spent most of her life in the sprawling slums of America, fighting as a rebel against the dictatorship. When the rebellion steals an experimental time-travel device, she travels back five decades to the year 2013. Her plan: assassinate the future dictator when he is still young and vulnerable, long before he comes to power. She must move fast to reshape history, because agents from her own time are on her trail, ready to execute her on sight.

I am not too sure what is going on here but I love the hair and the boots! I love J.L.'s Songs of Magic series so I can't wait to see what he does with this new series! What do you think of the cover for Nomad? How does it sound to you?

Cover Reveal: Wings of Nestor

Wings of Nestor
(Solus #3)
by Devri Walls
to be published 2013 by StoneHouse Ink

Kiora needs answers. Who is the Shadow? Who is Jasmine? Are they connected? And even more pressing: how can she stop Shadow from using Kiora’s dreams as a map to find them? They have escaped three times, but are living on borrowed time—and everybody knows it.

Her search for help will push her closer to Alcander, send her to the dragon mountain of Toopai, and straight back to Meros—where magic will finally return to the land of no magic. Answers will be uncovered and plans unearthed that have been waiting for thousands of years.

But with the Shadow’s forces gathering, it looks like the land’s path is hurtling towards one outcome: war with the Shadow and death to all rebels. Armed with knowledge and hope, Kiora is determined to change that path. But will fate allow it? Or will it deal her a hard lesson about following ones own destiny?
The Solus Series
I feel the need to come clean here about something: I have a thing for backs. I think they are sexy, so of course I am a big fan of the covers in this series and I have to admit Wings of Nestor is my favourite! I'm not big on his hair but the vibrant water is awesome! And the back... yeah that too. What do you think?

Cover Reveal: Imitation

Imitation
by Heather Hildenbrand
to be published March 12
Everyone is exactly like me.
There is no one like me.
The rough fabric of my cotton nightgown chafes so I lie very still. They say my discomfort comes from being built like one accustomed to niceties. How is that fair when I myself have never experienced anything but copies of the real thing?
My entire life is an imitation.
I am an Imitation.
I’ve been here five years. Training. Preparing. Waiting.
And now I have a letter.
My assignment has begun.
I am a prisoner.
I am not Raven Rogen.
I am here to die.

Another white cover! I am loving this one, the green definitely pops on it and it is definitely dramatic. What do you think?

Cover Reveal: Shooting Scars by Karina Halle

Shooting Scars
(The Artist's Trilogy #2)
by Karina Halle
to be published May, 2013 by Metal Blonde Books

A second chance at first love.

There are a few things worth risking everything for - even your life. For Camden McQueen, this is one of them.

Shooting Scars is the second book in The Artists Trilogy and is told from the dual POV of Camden and Ellie.

The Artist's Trilogy:

I freaking love the covers in this series so hard.  I love how they all go together so well and I love the font treatment for the titles. I'm not sure how I feel about Camden on the latest cover, I have in my head that he looks pretty different, but it's an epic cover nonetheless. What do you think?

Karina's Website | Twitter | Goodreads
The daughter of a Norwegian Viking and a Finnish Moomin, Karina Halle grew up in Vancouver, Canada with trolls and eternal darkness on the brain. This soon turned into a love of all things that go bump in the night and a rather sadistic appreciation for freaking people out. Like many of the flawed characters she writes, Karina never knew where to find herself and has dabbled in acting, make-up artistry, film production, screenwriting, photography, travel writing and music journalism. She eventually found herself in the pages of the very novels she wrote (if only she had looked there to begin with).

"In space, love has boundaries."

Dirtying fingernails in sewers is fast approaching worthlessness for Zachary, a 16-year old Underworld scavenger. When footage of an Overworld girl, Rosa, is discovered, his intrigue heightens at why she expresses sadness with a lavish lifestyle.

With time, friendship and something he’s never felt grows; love for another human. Knowing Rosa calls him when it suits her isn’t enough; he wants to meet her, but how? Relationships in Underworld are few, let alone the impossibility with those above the ceiling.

Underworld will suffer when plans to conquer Jupiter’s moon, Europa move ahead. Worse is Rosa’s father, a disgraced Overworld ambassador, approving the plan.

Zachary must defeat the prejudice of the worlds, sneak within opposing forces, lose friends and challenge Rosa’s sadness. In doing so, a twisted secret is uncovered that may devour the reason he lives; Rosa.
I'm really liking the graphic novel feel of this cover, it's really cool.  And can I just say YAY for a guy being on the cover and not some perfect girl! Woohoo! Go Imran! What do you think?

Imran's Website | Twitter | Facebook
Imran Siddiq may have tried to leave Leicester a few times, but its become his place to wake up to two cats, freeze when the heating’s off and most of all, get down to writing. At a young age, his primary school teacher commented on his creativity and ability to tell stories. At the age of 29, during a night in the jungle, the bug inside awakened, and for the last 5 years he’s been sacrificing every second that he can to write. A veteran of writing festivals, a presence on Twitter and gobbling up all forms of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, he hopes he can bring a smile to others in the same way that he had, aged 5, reading with a torch under his duvet. Imran’s preferred genre is YA Sci Fi, and he has a tendency to throw a droid in every novel.

Cover Reveal: Phoenix by Elizabeth Richards

It is FINALLY October 5th! This has been quite the build-up and I am so excited to be able to show you the cover. So without further adieu...

Phoenix (Black City #2)
by Elizabeth Richards
to be published June 2013 by G.P. Putnam's Sons
The much anticipated second book in the enthralling Black City series

Engaged to be married, Ash and Natalie are just starting to build a life together, when things in the United Sentry States go from bad to worse. Ash and Natalie find themselves at the center of the turmoil when dictator Purian Rose threatens Natalie’s life unless Ash votes in favor of Rose’s law—a law that will send Darklings and other dissenters to a deadly concentration camp known as the Tenth.

Ash can’t bring himself to trade Natalie’s life for those of millions of Darklings. The only way to save everyone is to escape Black City and find the Ora, a powerful weapon that could take down Purian Rose for good. But fleeing the city and finding this weapon is easier said than done, if it even exists, and becomes a quest that could tear Ash and Natalie apart, even pushing them into the arms of others.
I think this cover is GORGEOUS! I do have a weird obsession with fire but I also love the silhouette of the city in the background.  So what do you think of the cover for Phoenix? Was it worth the wait?

Cover Reveal: Jenny Plague-Bringer

We all know that I have a little obsession with J.L Bryan's Songs of Magic series.  I haven't gotten around to reading his adult Paranormals series but they are high up on my "dying to read" list.  I'm so excited to be taking part in the cover reveal for the fourth novel in that series Jenny Plague-Bringer! The first book in this series, Jenny Pox, is free at most ebook retailers, here are some links:

Jenny Plague-Bringer (The Paranormals #4)
by J.L. Bryan
to be published October 23, 2012

Jenny has enjoyed a year of quiet seclusion, but her peace is about to be shattered by two new paranormals who are searching for her. Their intentions are unknown. The timing couldn’t be worse, because Jenny can’t use her pox without risking the life of the baby growing inside her…

This sounds pretty intense! I haven't read the series but I notice that this one seems a bit brighter than the others in the series so it definitely POPS! What do YOU think?
