Cover Reveal: Pieces by Michelle Davidson Argyle

Pieces (The Breakaway #2)
by Michelle Davidson Argyle
to be published February 14th, 2013 by Rhemalda
Two years after watching her kidnappers go to prison, Naomi Jensen is still in love with one of them. Jesse will be released in a few years, and Naomi knows college is the perfect distraction while she waits. But when her new friend Finn makes her question what is right and what is wrong, she begins to wonder if Jesse is the one for her … until she discovers he's out on parole. Naomi must sort through her confusion to figure out where love and freedom truly lie—in Finn, who has no connections to her past, or Jesse, who has just asked her to run away with him.

Pieces is a companion to The Breakaway and can be read independently, if desired.
I have heard such wonderful things about The Breakaway and Argyle's writing.  I really like the font treatment for the title on this one! What do you think?

Michelle lives and writes in Utah, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. She loves the seasons, but late summer and early fall are her favorites. She adores chocolate, sushi, and lots of ethnic food, and loves to read and write books in whatever time she can grab between her sword-wielding husband and energetic daughter. She believes a simple life is the best life.

  1. I really like this cover!! I love that on both of them you can't see her face either. They sound like awesome books.

  2. I do like this cover. And I agree w/Amy, I like not being able to see the girl's face. Thanks for sharing, Jenni!

  3. I love that she's wearing normal clothes! Jeans and a comfy hoodie. That is so rare to see on covers these days!

  4. I like the cover on this one way better than the original. I probably won't be reading these books because I think the subject matter may rub me the wrong way, but it IS a pretty cover and I am happy to help promote.

  5. I don't know why but I feel a little sad from looking at the cover. It's almost like the girl on the cover is trying to make a big but painful decision.

    Thanks for sharing, Jenni!

  6. I really like the emotion on this cover (and on the cover of the book in the series before it, too)! :D It kind of just makes you stop and stare, and empathize a little. She just looks so lost.

Have you read the first book in this series yet, Jenni? The first time I heard of it was for the blog tour Giselle is organizing. The whole kidnapping/stockholm syndrome thing is one of those topics that can be done sooo well, or kind of fall flat, so I was just wondering if you'd read it, and if you did, what you thought. :)
