In a bland sea of paranormal romance novels I'm always looking for a good contemp to get me out of my rut. I loved Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson's so it appeals to me. See what I did there... hahaha

YIKES. This sounds all kinds of intense. At first, I was thinking that Alec sounded like Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, but then it got WORSE. I am pretty sure this book will be mightily distressing, but I'm hoping it will also be really good.

Great pick, love! I have this on my Wish List, too, and am excited by the seeming uniqueness of the plot. I mean, c'mon: a female MC who plays field hockey? Love it! :-)

Awesome pick! I haven't read Speak before, but I did read Anderson's Wintergirls, so I'm thinking I'd like this one. I love the cover! Love a good contemporary read, too.
