Hello again!
I am totally failing, I know. No vlog again this week, I'm sick and just can't be bothered. I didn't get too much this week but what I did get is exciting!
Found these randomly at Wal-Mart for $8 each and couldn't pass them up. These covers rock and I have heard really good things about the series.
I also got one ebook from Edelweiss and won one from Siiri's blog Little Pieces of Imagination (click cover for Goodreads):
A big thank you to Simon Pulse, Siiri, AToMR tours and Charles Sheehan-Miles this week!
So what did you get this week? Link me up! :-)

I think that even though your haul is small, your books look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon!

I like it when the haul is rather small. Bad Conscience is a bitch and she's teamed up with my husband and my purse!
ReplyDeleteSo, if the haul is small I can say to myself that I can manage mount TBR rather sooner than later; even though that is probably more a rather never than ever. ;)
Win! My mid-semester exams are over and I can finally be back to commenting. Yay, you got your A SONG FOR JULIA copy :) I don't know anything about those Maberry books - they look scary, but cool, lol. Fault Line - wohoo!! That's a review I can't wait:) I hope you get better soon, babe! Being sick sucks. I almost got a flu this week due to all that stress and the cold, sneaky wind of March. Luckily I drank lots of peppermint tea with honey. Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI love the Rot & Ruin covers, too. I hope the insides are just as badass.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better <3
The Rot and Ruin covers are so awesome!! I have been wanting to read those books, but really I would buy then just for the covers. They are so creepy awesome under the flap!! I got Faultline last week and can't wait to read it!! Sorry you are sick hon, hope that you feel better and the antibiotics help.
ReplyDeleteI've heard fabulous things about the Rot and Ruin series. I need to get to them some time because those covers are creepstatic! Fault line also looks like a very interesting read.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your books, Jenni and get well soon!
Sometimes they have quite good books at Walmart, haha! I got Easy there and I was quite surprised because no other book carried it -- and then I walk into Walmart and this elusive self-pub book was just sitting there. Great stack.
ReplyDeleteI love the covers for the Jonathan Maberry books! I'm going to have to see if my WalMart has them ... I have the first one, but only saw the hardcover for the second one at the bookstore. Hopefully I can pick up the paperback! I love the inside cover, when you flip that flap over. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat books! Have a good week!
I really want to go to Walmart and get Rot & Ruin and Dust & Decay now!
ReplyDeleteRot & Ruin for 8 bucks only on Walmart? I will probably go to buy it to. Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. New follower (:

I have been itching to get my hands on the Benny Imura series for some time. Can't wait to hear what you thought of them! :)
ReplyDeleteYou found them at WALMART? Huh, I might see if Target has them. Great find!
ReplyDeleteI've just started reading Rot & Ruin, it's my first zombie book! That's an awesome deal, $8!
ReplyDeleteI love a good zombie story. I really, really do, and I'm pretty easy when it comes to zombie stories, too -- I almost never don't like them. That being said, ROT & RUIN disappointed me.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it should have been a graphic novel instead of a novel. It's not scary really and it's more about Benny's personal growth from being a boy to being a man -- not zombies. Maberry's take on zombies is interesting, somewhat sympathetic even, but the writing just wasn't my thing. Tell, tell, tell, simplicity, info dumps, and nothing that really stood out to me as beautiful. Plus, there's a pretty heavy moral theme he tries to get over on us and I like subtly in that regard. I don't regret reading it, and I really liked Tom (Benny's big brother), but I didn't return to the series.
I hope you like it, though. I guess I went in expecting some epic zombie tale, which was the wrong thing to do. That was a good deal and the covers are really eye-catching. I'm really interested in Fault Line.
These are all new to me. The first two covers are awesome! I hope you enjoy your goodies! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to read that you've been sick this week. Kind of sucks big time. I'm sending you a bunch of well wishes for a speeding recovery. Enjoy the Maberry books!
ReplyDeleteBeen meaning to read Rot & Ruin for so long. Seems you either love it or hate it too so I'm wary of those. I think I'll like it though it's Ashley's fav YA zombie series and we usually agree on zombies. Not sure what that means for you though >.<
ReplyDeleteFault line looks so good I'm excited about that one! That Julia one you won looks good too is that NA? Great haul, muffin!
Beautiful blog!!!! <3 <3 Dust and decay seems nice :D
ReplyDeleteGreat stack! BTW I'm a new follower via GFC
Pls follow back thanks!

Great haul! All of these books are on my TBR pile, they seem great!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books!
My haul
Great stack. I am curious about Rot and Ruin, and Dust and Decay. Haven't seen A Song for Julia, will have to check it out. Enjoy your Sunday.
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post
Ohhh zombie books, man. I don't know if I'll ever be equipped to take on the real rotting--ha ha--and scary kind. The cover alone makes it look like something out of walking dead. And yet... zombies are one of my favorite paranormals. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteDude, eye for sales much? ;D
The Rot & Ruin series is one of my favs! The teens at my library can't get enough zoms. Hope you enjoy! My STS
ReplyDeleteI saw Rot & Ruin and the other one, in a store once & when I opened the jacket , that zombie face freaked me out! song for Julia is a really good story z I need to request Fault Line! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOooh... Rot & Ruin and Dust & Decay :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books, have lots of rest and I hope you'll feel better soon.
Fault Line looks so good!!
ReplyDeleteKate @ Ex Libris
Woooo zombies, and Maberry zombies at that! I love his take on zombies and fangirl at every opportunity. I hope you enjoy this series, there's really good character development and Benny's brother is kinda hot ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy !!
Isn't Wal-Mart the best for random deal finds!? Congrats, I've heard great things about that series too. Fault line looks good too & I love the cover for A Song for Julia! Congrats Jenni & enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteYay, I hope you love Rot & Ruin! It was super good and had Tom, keeper of all my swoons. LOL
ReplyDeleteRot and Ruin was a lot of fun but apparently I didn't love it enough because I haven't picked up book two. And Fault Line sounds great, loving that cover. Happy Reading!!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY want Fault Line to be good. Don't lie to me, cover!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you will love Jonathan Maberry. I predict this.
I try my best to control it but I’m having a total jealous blogger moment right now. I WANT Fault Line!!! I got rejected for it on Edelweiss :(
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I guess I’m happy for you that you got it (not!) :) Hope you like it!
I love Jonathan Maberry's Benny Imura series! :D I picked up the third one at Walmart a little while ago, too. ;) I hope you love them, too, I'm a sucker for the series! :D
ReplyDeleteHappy reading, Jenni! :D
I can't wait to see what you think of Fault Line because I have no idea if I want to read it or not based on the blurb. It sounds totally you though, Jenni! :D
