It is now week 2 of The Book Buzzers and this week our topic was chosen by Justin. This week we will all be talking about what we think are the 5 best YA book covers. This was a tough one, there are so many gorgeous covers out there!

Girl of Nightmares: Not my fav cover, but they're cool.
Days of Blood and Starlight: Way better than the first cover, I agree. Still not in my favs, though.
The Space Between: You have a style for covers.
Wildefire: I really liked that. :) I need a copy of that one. Some are way prettier in person, it's true.
Carnival of Souls: I hate that cover. It's so lame to me!
Belles: I was not expecting that. I do think the jacket is cool, but I don't like either part of the cover. Haha. Oh well.
Things I've learned:
1) We do not have the same taste in book covers.
2) You like reddish, dark book covers for the most part.

ReplyDeleteI do want to see the Carnival of Souls cover in person - I have the digital audio version so I haven't seen the book's cover in person yet. On screen it looks great, though.
ReplyDeleteI definitely wish our bookstore would either put the hardcovers on sale or just get some paperbacks in basically ever. They seem to just have YA hardcovers anymore (not sure where they do with the old ones when they get the new releases ;-))
The cover of Belles is soooo cooool!!! I'm so thrilled that this one is also your most favorite :D

ReplyDeleteOoh Belles I love it too! I had a softcover ARC but I really want to get one like that! I also LOVE GoN and Starlight! I'm a sucker for red on covers! Ugh, I'm so late watching this and on this ancient dinosaur computer it was uber lagging. So you were moving like a robot, it was kind of amusing. Also.. Kendarah? Really? I would have never guessed that how you said that O_O

DeleteGreat picks! I like the UK version of Anna, BUT they always refer to her in her white dress in the book, so it just doesn't make sense.

I bought Wildefire, but in paperback ... I love the cover! It must not shine as much on mine, though.
