  2. I hope you read Midwinterblood soon! Marcus Sedgwick is one of my all-time favorite authors - I wish it wasn't so hard to find his books in the US.

I also received Undercurrent this week. Can't wait to compare our reviews!

  4. Wow, your haul this week is amazing! I'm very envious over here! 'This is what happy looks like' sounds especially good, and Truth Or Dare is on my wishlist.

I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Jenni! I can't wait to read your reviews for them. :)

By the way, I haven't been here before, and I just wanted to say how gorgeous your blog is! The design is lovely, and your posts are wonderfully informative. I'll definitely be stopping by Alluring Reads more often!

  6. OMG I totally didn't even think about it and I had the volume way up and when you held up The Ruining and said mind fuck my daughter was right behind me lol!! She didn't hear it I don't think.
I'm reading Midwinterblood right now and it's pretty good. I'm not that far yet. I'm only on the 3rd story in it. That cover is much prettier than my ARC.
Wanderlove sounds so good!! I have been wanting to read that one.
Ohh How to Save a Life sounds awesome too!!
Great haul this week babe!! Love the review books too. ;)

  7. Woo--look at me with my snazzy little shoutout. And you made me realize yesterday that my blog name is a tongue twister. I've said it before, but never with my name as "Blythe at Finding Bliss in Books." That's definitely a tough one to say. Now, on to the books:

The Ruining! Can't wait to start that one. It sounds awesome, and apparently is a mind fuck, so yay! BTW speaking of mind fucks, I finished The Murmurings. I ended up liking it. Though it's not a very big mind fuck--not sure why mind fuck reminded me of The Murmurings. Anyway...

Rush: I look forward to seeing what you think of this. I was holding back on requesting it, but I might after (if) HarperTeen approves me for Night School, so I know I'm safe. Or I might request Undercurrent instead, because that sounds awesome.

In the After: Can't wait to start this one! It sounds SO. GOOD.

    Undercurrent: Jealous!

    Thousand Words: jEALOUS!

    Truth or Dare: SUPER JEALOUS!!

  8. Wanderlove! I loooooved that book! I hope you do, too! And I really want to read This is What Happy Looks Like ... it looks like such a sweet book.

Did I know it was your birthday recently? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I know I'm crazy late, but there ya go.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  9. Wow, your birthday haul continues! I want to read Wanderlove, it sounds so good!

I just finished Midwinterblood the other day and enjoyed it. I wouldn't really consider it scary, more just creepy. I was unsure of it midway through, but it really grew on me! I hope you enjoy it as well!

  11. Bhahaha! When you said "I like my mind being fucked" LOL. Your face was priceless! :D In a good way!!! How to Save a Life by The Fray is one of my favorite songs and Giselle's gift just made it a soundtrack of my night in my head I think. I think your haul is fabulous and from you being so perky and upbeat, I guess you're feeling better? I hope so! Have a lovely weekend, Jenni! x

  14. Happy belated birthday! Books as presents = the BEST!

I know what you mean about Midwinterblood, sometimes when the author is well known, the covers have their name bigger than the title.

And yay, Sara Zarr! Her books always make me cry. HTSaL is the last one of hers I need to read :)

  15. I love Sara Zarr. She is fantastic. Happy belated birthday too. And the cover for Just like Fat looks so good and the synopsis. I really want to read the book. I really liked Wanderlove. Great haul and enjoy all the books.

  17. I love your goodies, Jenni! Thanks for showing us the back cover of Breaking Point :)

Enjoy your books and I can't wait to read your reviews on Wanderlove and How to Save a Life.

  18. So what have we learned today? That if you suck up to me and befriend me, I send you books! LOL Kidding.

Looks like everyone here loves Wanderlove which is awesome because it's my favorite contemporary. How to Save a Life was awesome too but the characters are really unlikable in the beginning so you have to be patient but stick with it because it is worth it!

I want to read that Emma Bull book too. Christina loves it and I added it to my TBR because of her. Same with Dani Noir. I hope you love them all!

Oh, and it's Kare-uh. You are pronouncing it correctly. :D

  19. Oh my goodness! SO many good books. I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on Thousand Words. It looks INCREDIBLE. And Sara Zarr's books are very good! Hope you enjoy all of your books this week.

I hope I didn't repeat something you said in your video... my laptop wouldn't load it! :P

  31. Hi

    Great haul.

I've been hoping that Wanderlove gets a Kindle release in the UK.

I managed to get my hands on How To Save A Life a few weeks ago after all the haul postings I've seen with it on.

    Enjoy your reads.

Please check out my haul at http://thewanderingbookworm.wordpress.com/2013/02/23/showcase-sundayletterbox-lovestacking-the-shelvesbought-borrowed-bagged/

  32. Fade Out/Dani Noir is very, very different from Imaginary Girls--it's much younger/lighter in tone--but I liked it a lot more than IG, so hopefully you'll enjoy it! I thought it was funny that you like to cry...I love lots of books that have made me cry, but I actually HATE crying and get scared when I start those types of books!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can't wait for In the After and Game especially! I Hunt Killers was fantastic and I can't wait for the next one... did you see how many pages there are in it though??? (528!) I was quite shocked. Still can't wait. :)
    Happy Reading!

  34. Fabulous new books! HC seriously has some amazing new reads coming out this Spring/Summer. I'm particularly excited for Rush and In the After.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Aww, glad you were spoiled so much this week with your continuing birthday gifts!! Taken out of context, the statements "I like to get my mind fucked" and "I like crying" would be quite odd, haha! But luckily, I know you well enough by now to know what you mean by those statements.

  39. Weeee another fab birthday haul! Congrats on all the spoils :D I definitely need to read Article 5 soon...and most of all the other physical books you got are new ones for me - I really need to branch out and read more like...contemporaries or something I guess. Can't do scary though so ain't gonna try haha Your ebook haul is pretty sweet too, curious about Rush & Undercurrents: I remember you spotlighting that one as you WoW so congrats on scoring it! Enjoy all your goodies girl ♥

  40. I FINALLY MADE IT BACK!

    You're in the kitchen again!

Isn't the back of Breaking Point awesome? I love when they do something fun, rather than putting praise back there.

"I love my mind being fucked." *snorts*

I hate when they put the author name on larger than the title.

    FLINDING BLISS!

I will read Imaginary Girls at some point...

    No, it's CARE-UH. I was wrong. *headdesks*

Haha, I will broaden your horizons. Woo!
