  1. I haven't read Scorpio Races yet, but I have an ebook copy. I absolutely LOVED her Shiver series and I did enjoy The Raven Boys quite a bit. I'm very picky when it comes to wolf books and Shiver was one that stood out to me by being very organic, emotional and it wasn't like.. supernatural. It was very real in the sense that it makes you think 'wow, I can totally see it being real'. LOL at your husband and dystopian :D I'm so sad that Giselle hated Period 8. It was one of my top tbr books of 2013. I'll still probably give it a go lol. Hahaha, I thought the guy had diapers as well when I saw it on Giselle's blog lol. I got Bitter Angel as well. Won it on Amy's blog. WOHOO!! Can't wait to dive into it. I hope you have a great weekend, Jenni!! :-)

  3. Ooh a new kindle! I've been meaning to upgrade for a while now (I still have the very ugly old one). The paperwhite looks fantastic. :) The Scorpio Races is a favourite of mine so I hope you enjoy it! It's definitely one of Maggie Stiefvater's better books. I also can't wait to see what you think of Antigoddess. That sounds great. Fantastic haul, Jenni!

I almost got the paperwhite, but just went with the basic one instead, which as you know, didn't freaking work right. Luckily they sent a new one right out and I will have it by Monday. Haha!! Period 8 really sucked!! Who knows, maybe you won't hate it as much as we did. Lol!!

  9. Yay for your Kindle Paperwhite Jenni! I've had my Kindle Keyboard in what feels like forever, so I'm hoping that I can get a new one soon! I absolutely loved The Book of Blood and Shadow (Giselle's review made me pick up this one) and I finished The 5th Wave recently and loved that one too! So I can't wait to see how you get on with both of them. That Time I Joined the Circus sounds like an awesome read too, so I'll definitely be on the lookout for your updates with that! I hope you enjoy all your reads! :)

  17. Bwahaha I send you all of my shit!! Book of Blood and Shadow was SO good but I'm not convinced you'll love it. It's very slow for the first 100 pages but then at page 104 (yep I remember!) it STARTS for reals! I also can't wait to see what you think of 5th Wave! :D Antigoddess is real good so far! Freakboy in verse... I should really read blurbs before I request O_O

  18. SOOO much awesomeness here!!! AHHH!!! Antigoddess is one I can't wait to read!!! It sounds SO GOOD!! Speak is such a great broken girl story! We actually have a class set of it at our high school; it's taught as part of the Popular Literature class. I really like Chris Crutcher books, but I know they aren't for everyone. Usually they are a sure thing for guys. The Book of Blood and Shadow was VERY good and VERY bloody! :) Enjoy! Happy reading!

  23. Ooh, a Kindle Paperwhite! I'm with you, the fact that it turns in an off just by opening and closing the cover is very cool! It's pretty hilarious that Giselle has a tendency of not only sending you books that she thinks you might like, but also books that she apparently HATED. haha, I am actually sort of curious of what you would think of Period 8, if it's a unanimously hated book. But I am much more curious to hear your thoughts on The 5th Wave definitely!! I just started reading it myself... exciting!

  24. Weeeee incredible haul girl! I mean that Kindle Paperwhite? EPIC. And then you got The Scorpio Races - I SO want to read that one and when you read it I will be the ONLY one left who has not read it *sobs* I can't wait to see what you'll think of the Lawless books cause I remember us discussing the movie on Twitter awhile back :D The diaper book and That Time I Joined the Circus I want to read too so I'll be looking out for your reviews on all of those too!! Enjoy all of these!
